Vision

4_web__WFB5704We believe that it is the absolute right for all children to meet each other, to play together, grow together, and to learn to live together. We believe that embodied learning through aikido can lead to lasting and meaningful personal development, as well as lasting and meaningful friendships for young people in
communities in conflict. By teaching Israelis and Palestinians conflict resolution through aikido we give youth life-changing tools for practicing and embodying peace, and the opportunity to use these tools during bi-communal and joint trainings.4_webIMG_1607 Aikido schools as “microcosm” of a harmonious world is the critical component for Aikido Without Border’s social change strategy. Aikido is a martial art that has a non-violent philosophy and curriculum and is a clear metaphor for conflict resolution. It is a practice that gives all practitioners a deeper purpose in life by instilling universal principles that reflect respect and tolerance for all mankind. AWB has brought meaningful change to the lives of young people and adults through the practice of Aikido. We strive for nothing less than to bring young people together for a lasting foundation for peaceful thought and behavior.
